Weed & My Wisdom Teeth

    Well I'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out/pulled in the morning. I just smoked about 30 minutes ago, and I was wondering if the THC will effect the anesthesia. Im getting a shot in my gums for the numbing and I guess they'll put the mask on me also. And how bad is the procedure? Ive never had any kind of surgery before so I just don't know what to expect. Any advice is appreciated :D Thanks blades

    Smoking weed probably wasn't a good idea. If it were me, I'd tell my doctor just to be safe - wouldn't want to fuck around with that stuff.

    And the procedure is nothing. It's so routine, it's mundane. Mine was over in twenty minutes, and on my way home within the hour. Look forward to being pretty fucked up afterwards. I clearly remember waking up in the chair, walking out to my Mum in the waiting room, and getting out to the car. After that, nothing until hours later. Apparently my poor little mother had to practically carry me into the house.

    And don't rush smoking afterwards. You do not want to risk dry socket. Let that shit heal and take 'er easy. I played it safe and was back to business in 7 days.

    Well I fucked up. I didn't know you couldn't have water the night before surgery, I downed like 2 bottles last night after 12. So it's been rescheduled. Guess it kinda worked out in the positive, don't have to second guess TCH mixing with the anesthesia. Looks like ill have a t-break coming up soon. :rolleyes: But the nervousness continues :devious:

    I got vicodin for my wisdom teeth. Expect to be literally fucked up from the anesthesia for a while afterwords. Also, DON'T SMOKE. Don't do it. Do not. I got dry sockets in all four of my holes from smoking. It's the worst pain ever, especially when you took all your painkillers already and they didn't give you a refill script... when you get dry sockets they stuff the holes with this gauze shit soaked in clove oil. You have to go back every day to get them repacked. Definitely wait a few days to smoke lol

    You'll be fine, THC shouldn't react with anything or have any adverse effects or anything like that. The complexity of the removal itself depends on whether they actually have to cut it out of your gums or whether it's already exposed in which case they can just pull and sew. I got 3 teeth out and they just IV'd me anaesthetic, no mask or anything.

    Do not smoke the following week at least. The first few days you won't want, and probably couldn't even smoke as it would be much too painful, but either way it will be horrible. The first time I smoked after my operation was about a week and half after and it still felt kinda painful in my mouth where my holes are.

    I made weed tea when I got home....I put myself into a coma...worked like a champ

    I smoke before I go to the dentist every time, or else I'll have some weird anxiety attack while sitting there with my mouth propped open. I don't think I've been to the dr. or dentist completely sober probably since around 2005. Had anesthesia, bloodwork done, shots, all the above, and my doc lets me know im healthy, then im on my way.

    I get a checkup pretty regular every 3 months, and my doc keeps an eye on my liver because I take a blood pressure pill every morning.

    i was high when i got my wisdom teeth removed. i wouldn't recommend it because i was paranoid as fuck when the operation was happening

    dont smoke after. smoking can cause dry sockets and infections.
    if you want THC try edibles.
    plus you get some prescription medicine, so you should be fine.

    Don't smoke afterward. The problem isn't the smoke as much as the suction you get when you inhale. Get/make some edibles or tea.

    Man when I had my wisdoms removed I was steady smoking afterwards . . . its no big deal . . . eating anything is alot worse than smoking . . .

    I had 3 taken out and it hurt like a bitch because my dentist messed up somehow.

    But beyond that, use it as a week long T break or something and get higher the next time you get high.

    i did it, and trust me it work. especially if you have some left over unmentionables from the doctor ;)

    I smoked till i had to go get them out. You will be fine, and I got 20 perks for 3 wisdom teeth being removed, mine were easy though not rooted or something? and yeah they gas the fuck out of you, you'll be tripping and wont notice the pain lol

    Probably better to ask before you smoke but can't change that now. The procedure itself usually isn't bad. When I got mine taken out it was horrible though I had more teeth under my wisdom teeth so they really had to dig deep in my gums. Even so I smoked a bowl that night and everything was chill but if you do smoke be sure to pull very, very slowly. If possible have someone milk a bong for you then hit that. Try to avoid forming a seal on top of the bong to prevent suction
