Weed like dust ?

    Hey Gc just wondering anyone else had a weed that was super dry like it would turn into dust when you pick it in and theres was a shit load of kief looking stuff in the bad we just thought it was crystals and threw it in the joint and got super blazed my friends fingers were covered in these crystals and it tasted like weed so it must be all good ... ahh good old potent finger :p:smoking:

    ahh okay then lol i was thinkin it was contanimated or sumthin guess it was just super dry is this less potent being dry or the same as it would if it was not as dry ?? =]

    sound den i wasnt worried about it being dry more... the kief loooking shit in tha bag must have been cryastals that have fell of the buds after all so its sweet den i got a 8th for a £10 of it so :hello:

    No...not probably...that's what kief is, the 'crystals' as you call them are resin glands called trichomes. When sifted or otherwise separated from the plant they are called kief.

    Actually if the weed is very dry like that it could be powdered bits of leaves too, although certainly some of it will be kief. I've had weed like that before, makes it real easy to break up, but there's nothing wrong with it. I prefer it a little more moist myself though.

    Yes if it's not sifted properly some of it is no doubt ground leaf, but trichomes are a lot smaller than most leaf bits. I was just trying to educate the apprentice on what the 'crystals that look like kief' were ;)

    I've had bud that was like literally dust...the weed itself dried out and became rock hard and it was fucking awful. I still have it in a bag in my drawer because it was so gross I didn't want to finish it.
