How did the American soldiers in the Vietnam War get their hands on marijuana? I've did some research and couldn't find anything on this.
Bingo. Cannabis ran rampant on all 6 continents for millions of years prior to it's prohibition in 1937.
really, i seen a photo,, of some soldiers in afganistan,, posing next to some 11 foot tall plants,,,, they looked like trees,,,,they were so tall and wide,,,, maybe thats why the taliban, wants our ass out of there,,,,, they scared we gonna, take thier weed,,,
According to people I know that were in that war, it was fucking everywhere, and all over the place, kinda like wild flowers Almost sounds like a dream, see there was a good slogan the army should have used, join the military! get really fucking stoned maan
Imagine smoking and getting ambushed by the viet cong two minutes later. I would laugh my ass off and get shot in the head.
I could see myself suffering the same fate, only I'd get shot in the 5 seconds I stop to light a joint.
nah man if I was stoned in 'nam, I would be that fool who thinks he's all harcore stealth, with the hand signals and all. Then I would accidently puill the trigger and make a shitload of noise....and thats about when the napalm would come raining down.
a LOT of vietnam vets did heroin there as well, bud grew everywhere but I bet it was seedy since it was wild
I'm sure some was obtained from the locals. The south vietnamese tried to sell everything to the soldiers. Then at night some of these people that they would buy stuff off would strap on a gun and fight the exact people who buy their wares.
Yeah there was great weed that grew wild all over Vietnam. Lots of opium too which meant heroin, which is what I probably would have been doing if I was in Vietnam not sure if you're gonna die any minute.
Ive heard rumors that we just passed it out to the soldiers for a while, basically as medicine, but i dont have any solid sources, i just remember something like that
we had some vietnam vets come talk to us at our high school once, and i asked one of the cooler ones, (he claimed to have killed 47 viet kong in one day), if the drug use during the war by the U.S. soilders was as bad as they say, his reply was: "son, we never came down once in an entire year, it was everywhere, and everybody was doin it."
