Increasing the temperature around the container with the socks will make the weed stay warm, you could also but it in between your legs to warm it up

The mason jar won't change the fact that the weed will get cold..

Your best bet is going to be socks, as was suggested above. I'm not really sure if the cold will affect the bud aside from making the trichs fall off more easily, but if you think it does, layer that stuff. It's the same idea as keeping your own body warm.

Do the  sock inception thing. But in the outmost layer of the sock you could put a tiny hand warmer? Then maybe a beer cozy condom around the sock orgy?
 
That hand warmer thing might do some nasty shit to your bud chemical wise.
 
You could do the sock orgy thing......Put that in a super sealed high temp rating plastic bag. Then get a thermos. Put the ziplock condom on your sock orgy then put that into the thermos with some hot water in it.
 
That would take the fun outta smoking for me though.

i don't think it's gonna be sitting in your car for long enough to have it affect potency.

 

cold will not affect it in a bad way, it will make it brittle and easier for the trichs to be shaken off, but chemically it wont change anything.

 

Have it already rolled and then put inside something then you don't need to worry about loosing crystals or if you pack bowls have it already grinded and in that pill bottle that's how I does It... nice dry and crumbly burns nice to lol

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The THC will be just fine, cold might be better for it than warm. IMHO. I'm not a real doctor. I just play one on the internet. But I play guitar better. LOL
