I smoke weed. Lots and lots of weed. I just got assigned this project in my sociology/cultural anthropology (I go to a hippie college) class to trace references to a cultural phenomenon in pop culture works. I chose weed because it's something I already know a lot about. Because I smoke it. All the time. I need to find a lot of examples of songs and comedy and movies that have weed in them, from 1950-2006. Help? I went to http://www.napster.com/napsterlinks/ and searched out all the songs/comedy tracks under “marijuana†“weed†“pot†“ganja†and all the other names I could think of. What I'm really looking for help with is references that aren't easily searched, like, where the song title doesn't have the word “marijuana†or “bong†or anything else obvious in it, so unless I knew of it already I wouldn't be able to search for it.
