Weed and Heart Arrythmia

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by suzenonest, Jan 3, 2011.

  1. Ive had a heart arrhythmia problem for the last few years (Ventricular Tachycardia) and am on beta blockers atm which seem to suppress the problem. However lately, ive noticed after smoking my heart feels like its jumping. And it feels like there are air bubbles going through my chest and arms. I was wondering if it was just a crazy body buzz but my other buddies havent gotten one off the same weed. It also lasts for like an hour. Could this possibly be dangerous? Im gonna ask my specialist in a week when i see him. Anyone else know what im talking about?

    Thanks alot in advance

  2. Could possibly be dangerous. When marijuana does something it is not supposed to do you should quit immediately and wait until you speak with a doctor about it, granted most doctors will tell you to quit...but in your case I would say that is probably the best option.

  3. Id stop smoking till you go to the doctor.:eek: i have a heart condition and i personally think this isnt the best place to get info on heart related stuff. Unless theirs a heart specialist on here...

  4. I didnt expect heart specialists on here lol just wanted to know if anyone else has ever expierienced this. Im deffinetly gonna stop til I see my doctor, it just really sucks cuz I have a feeling ill know what the answer is gonna be...

  5. I know what the answer is going to be as well, but like I said...with your condition it is probably the best option for you.
