Weed/alcohol causes anxiety

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Mattyice023, Nov 23, 2020.

  1. Hi guys. I used to enjoy weed so much early in my high school years but now it’s not so enjoyable and I don’t know why. Whenever I smoke it makes me super tired and don’t feel like doing anything. And it’s not like a couch locked high either, usually just sitting in my bed paranoid and anxious. Couldn’t imagine hanging out with anybody while high. Any tips like certain vitamins that can help?? Alcohol is better but it still just makes me tired and a little anxious.

  2. check out your thc content and research your strain. high in thc 17/18% and over can be strong especially if you havent been smoking then some strains list anxiety and paranoia as a side effect. but if the pot is too strong thats usually a given

  3. This is a weed forum , what does a weed forum have anything to do with alcohol ?
Just because you drink alcohol and like it doesn't mean it belongs in a weed forum .
To many of us or just me I don't drink alcohol and pretty much distance myself from the people who do .

  4. The more you smoke weed, the more weed you'll need to smoke. Especially if you start young. It's not you, it's your body.

  5. Try a dry herb vaporizer. No couch lock, no munchies, no paranoia/anxiety, much less tiredness, easier to hold conversations with non stoned people without losing your buzz.

  6. Go to a dispensary.. you can ask for what type of high you like

  7. Take one small toke at a time, give it about 30 minutes and see how you feel between hits and if you need a little more, take another small toke.

I've been doing it this way since 1983 and call it my "maintenance buzz". I do a little at a time all throughout the day to keep me where I need to be, so I don't get so spaced out. Only at parties do I chief up like it's about to go extinct.

If your doing too much, too fast then you may be getting too much THC all at once...Go slow and use only as needed.

As others said, I'll say as well..Try a lower THC strain, if you have access to a dispensary and have choices like that (But most states don't have it like that) Sativas with an energy inducing terpene profile would probably do you well, where Indicas usually cause couch lock and/or tiredness.

If your limited on strain choices because of the legal status in your state, then I'd go with the "little at a time" method.

Also, CBD hemp flower is way easier to handle and is more accessible in most states now, so check your local CBD shop if you have one near you. CBD flower doesn't give you a "head high" but more of a body buzz that's relaxing and is usually great for anxiety.

    Hope this helps?

  8. as everyone mentioned use less but also like i saw one other say, use a vape too. i think the high is a lot cleaner when you use a dry herb vape. almost too clean at night for me as i prefer the heaviness of a good indica smoked. zzz

  9. You can try cbd flower (hemp flower) legal in all 50 states and you can order online. Cheaper too. I rarely use the thc strains anymore.

  10. I need the munchies though. lol My favorite part.
