Weed according to my shrink...

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by cball, Jan 26, 2010.

  1. Monthly visit to see my head Dr and towards the end she asked me about my weed consumption. I'm honest with her, and when asked when I will stop smoking, said I probably wouldn't stop, ever.;)

This brought her to the propaganda state of mind, first the tale of the drug cartels, helping terrorist, prostitution even. Told her weed did not do this, (money did), and that alcohol was the center of vices when it was illegal due to prohibition, so she switched tactics and informed me of the sewage all weed has in it, plus semen, heroin, lsd, fluids from rotting dead people...just about anything nasty you could think of...I laughed at her this time, couldn't help it.:p

We had a 10 minute or so discussion where I asked her a lot of questions as to her source of info on topics (was LEO, politicians, basically those that gain from mj being illegal). Asked if she was aware that the AMA and APA recommend it for lots of ailments...she admitted she knew, but it was illegal for a reason...asked her what reasons and she drew a blank other than LEO's say so...

I think I sparked doubts in her mind, she asked what to search on Google to find some more info. I said to Google this phrase "how marijuana was made illegal" , start at the top, and keep reading.:smoke:

  2. sounds like you put her in her place.

  3. Well done my friend! MJ education at it's finest!

  4. Weed still has a strong, negative stigma and a lot of people are stuck on it simply because they haven't bothered to educate themselves about it. I think it will be fading rapidly over the next decade with all the legislation and frankly, people waking up. I think most people fail to realize that there is a big difference between your typical loser couchlocked stoner and an adult that lives an active work, family and social life and smokes weed recreationally.

  5. now lets get to the real issue.

    is your therapist hot?

  6. that's cool man, its hard to find people that are willing to learn these days.

  7. ya, she is a looker. She won "Miss Mexico" in a beauty pageant at one time even...:D

  8. Good job man in standing up for yourself (and all of us really) by speaking ur mind in a intelligent and truthful manner. When all stoners are able to do this the decriminalization or hopefully legalization efforts will come full circle. :hello:

  9. Give her a copy of The Union: The Business Behind Getting High. It is the ultimate tool for recruiting people to the cause, its just full to the brim with great info.

  10. oh my god, thats fucking beautiful... i love hispanic chicks. i had a sexy therapist once, it was great.

  11. well in about maybe 50 years all those people will die
and then us the stoner population will outnumber them and then mj shall be legal in most states

  12. better happen faster than that! Ill be almost dead by then!

  13. If she is hispanic it might be nice to play up the racial issues around cannabis prohibition.

  14. one more person educated...good job man!

  15. good job bro, i cant wait to talk to my doctor about it.haha

  16. ya i own it, and showed it to my 15 year old sister the other day, she smokes now.haha

  17. MOF, I did that. I gave a brief on the bigoted newspaper pulp tycoon and how a state rep lied about the AMA's thoughts at the time, to congress.

  18. Next time, turn her on to my "Granny Storm Crow's MMJ Reference list". There are quite a few articles that deal with depression and other problems that might interest her. She can get her own free copy of my list (or you can) by emailing me at i.wantgrannyslist(at)greenpassion.org
If she has her own copy, she can take her time reading. :D The list is linked below in my sig and is a "sticky" here and at several other forums.

  19. haha, reminds me of the time I made my mom realize there's nothing wrong with bud

she's still against it but never tries to argue with me about it anymore

  20. Thanks Granny! I had actually given her a link to your list a few months ago.

We must be getting through to her..:yay:

She was surprised to learn of the latest HB, Missouri HB1670...(I bet she will get up to date and be ready to 'recommend' herb when she is able too...)
