weather/ mini greenhouse question

  1. There's some bad weather in my area that's already killed most of my first round of germinated seeds. I don't have the option to bring my next round of seedlings inside and I'm wondering if it would be practical to put a clear Tupperware container/storage bin over the seedling to create a little miniature greenhouse and to protect them from the elements while they are young. Does anyone have any reasons not to do this? Also I was thinking maybe propping bricks under the Tupperware to allow for airflow under the container would that help?

  2. I use the clear plastic trays that they put over cakes at the grocery store, they work wonderful. Also you can get them from the large aluminum trays that people use for cookouts and banquets.

  3. do you leave the plastic over the seedlings all day or do you air it out ocassionally?
