Hello all having some issues with weak stems fan leaves yellowing and dying on a christmas OG kush strain. I have 3 250 CFL bulbs one 2600k, and 2 5500k. I'm growing in growstone GS-3 premade coco coir. I have one intake pc fan and one exhaust fan and a small fan as well. the small fan stays on high mode blowing at the wall not directly on the plants, and it doesn't oscilate. been feeding flora trio series with cal mag since veg and been using silica, and unsulphered molasses the past 3 or 4 weeks. Always PH my water and feeds to around 5.8-5.9 and alternate every other day feeding/watering. I have read that fan leaves do typically yellow late stages of flowering, but these are curling up pretty bad. It's only effecting about 4 of the fan leaves. the top ones seem ok, but there was some light burn and a few leaves got caught in my exhaust fan by accident. I have to take her out for watering because she almost outgrew my grow box! my ppm's have been pretty low around 700-900 or so. shes only about 2 1/2 feet tall. Also buds look really small can I expect them to get any bigger? the main cola on top is decent, but none of the others are connecting and look kinda small. I'm also not sure when to flush. I'm thinking maybe 3 more weeks? I've read about the pistils changing colors to 50% and checking trichomes, but for me its hard to tell as this is my first grow. Some pistils are reddish/orange but still alot of white ones left. Any insight would help me out alot.. Just want a good yield. This image below is from about 2 or 3 weeks ago. everything seemed healthy and green other than the burn tips of leaves and ones caught in fans. Also weak stems still which has been a problem this whole time, but may be genetic not sure.
its a small fan near the top by exhaust. it blows on hi at the wall not directly on the plant. theres a intake fan that generates a breeze also.
Hi spacejam. It does look a little weak and thin stalks love. A fan simulates wind and strenthens it up but providing fresh air also. Did ya veg it long? I veg minimun of 6 /8weeks as any less can cause week plants in flower etc. Did it stretch too wen a seedling and veg etc? It could be genetics though lv. U fan leaves will die as once plant used goodness up they are spent so yellow and die. I wood not worry if only 4 fan leafs. If all other leafs changed colour then it cud be a nute lock etc. U grown same as i am but i dont flush coco unless had a salt biuld up! Untill last few weeks upto harvest. I check ph etc in run off and if in range i do not flush. The coco as no nutes so it needs feeding all the time. I no other flush coco but unless something wrong then no piont. Hope this helps.
