What's up blades, I came across this really good video about the nature of reality/consciousness and had to share it with you guys on grasscity and see what you make of it. I found the video very moving and inspiring and think this video pretty much echoes most of my beliefs and includes some of the best intellectual minds of our time. Please use this thread to discuss what you make of the ideas and theory's put forward in the video, I'd love to see what you guys think about it! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbRmJ_2nqyg[/ame]
You seem like a very open minded guy! Did you even watch the video considering that you posted 6 mins after I made the thread and the video is 13 minutes? Also I know some of the things he says are very controversial but you can't deny he made some very profound and valid points in this video.
I liked some points that were stated but don't agree with comparing life to the universe in any sense like was somewhat done in the beginning. but i do love what he said about God and his purity and how we're all trying to find our own true perspective . thats great
Which is why it was a question not an accusation. Of course some people will have seen this video before, and the dude said that he would 'disagree with everything he has ever thought on anything' which seems rather close minded in my opinion, but whatever haha.
I'm aware on what David has to say about consciousness, so I'm sure I don't need to suffer through another one of his videos to comment on it--it's probably something I already heard or read before. And by "controversial" you mean idiotic, right? Because it's not controversial to say the Moon is actually a giant spaceship, but it is very stupid.
It's not just David Icke that speaks in the video. If you had watched it you would have found out that it also includes people like Terrence McKenna, Bill Hicks and the quantum physicist John Hagelin. This video isn't just about the theory's of David Icke dude.
That's why the closed-minded can never see what they need to see. Those who already know something do not need to be bothered with anything else, especially not the truth. They made their minds up long ago.
I also think David Icke is most likely crazy due to many things he says, however I've seen this video before and it's spot on.
Putting aside the reptilian stuff, and not allowing his often defensive manner to get in the way, much of what David Icke talks about is quite real and relevant. Unfortunately, his style doesn't help himself, and he's often portrayed by the media in a bad light. Fortunately he doesn't give a fuck what people think of him. If you've ever watched one of his marathon lectures - 6 hours, and done so with an open mind, you would come away realising things that make sense to you. As in all things, they have to resonate and you have to be in the right state of mind for it to do so. Not everyone is. There is plenty of truth in what he says, but the reptilian stuff doesn't help his credibility as that's not easy to be open to.
Yeah I agree completely he says lots of stuff I agree with but it's that whole reptillian stuff he spurts and the moon being a space ship that gives me the impression he's crazy. But a lot of what he says is very insightful I can't deny that as much as the rational part of me would like to.
He might still very well be crazy. There's a fine line between genius and madness - sometimes he crosses it.
This is the world of separation. "choosing love" is not going to change it. I don't think it's choice at all. We are love. At all moments. This world includes fear. Our need to change that is more fear. I relate to much of the video, however I see much of it as a paradox. We are not humans... Yet it's our 'human' that wants to change things and believe in concepts like 'a better world'. Love the terrible things.. Not because you can make them change. Love the hypocrisy.. Not so it goes away. This is where I am different. I'm not against duality and all it's light and darks. This production felt to me as if it wanted to push one side only of the equation known as this world.. Only feel good things. I love suffering too.
Not that I am against any of it.. I'm just not for it either... In the sense that it's a doctrine anyone 'should' follow or deny.
