What is your take on this and what solutions do you propose?

I think we are overpopulated, and this is the source of most of our environmental problems. No one ever wants to admit it. No one wants to talk about it. Now, before you say "hey, there's plenty of space on Earth," I am not talking about overpopulation in terms of space. I am referring to overpopulation in terms of resources, environmental ecosystems, sustainability and those issues. Almost all environmental problems and issues go back to one thing that no one wants to talk about: overpopulation.

To solve this problem, we will have to educate and provide better methods of contraception. We should offer sterilization and temporary sterilization to help bring the populations numbers down. Abortion is also an essential part of doing this. Discuss.

mass suicide is the only solution

    the youth shall save us

    ... that and sodomy

  3. lets grow more food and give it away more :)

  4. Build up, not out.

  5. its only overpopulated in the sense that its too big to be controlled by a system, everyone needs to spread out and live off the land and help each other out living off the land, not to neglect but to care for and harvest

  6. Imagine what would happen if Romney bans contraception and abortion..

  7. ya know, sometimes i've wondered if people being homosexual is our species way of recognizing our overpopulation and trying to remedy it.

  8. I dont think so..

    Ive heard that too

Gays are a sign of overpopulation supposably

But idk how credible that claim is

  10. Not very credible, since gays have been around since the dawn of the human race, before the planet was overpopulated :p

  11. Although, not having to worry about reproducing is a huge plus for being gay.

  12. Yes it's great. Knowing that there won't be any little me's running around this planet is wonderful :D

  13. sounds tortuous.. you must be sterile

  14. actually by 2030 there will be more elderly than kid...if curent trends keep up of course.

  15. When lab rats hit there carring capacity many of them will practice homosexual behavior. but people and rats are two diffrent creatures

  16. The plan is education.

I think it is still true that developing nations have high fertility rates. Earlier today I saw a lady pay with food stamps. Nothing wrong with that. These resources should be here when they need them. However I noticed she had a very, very young child (like a year old). I asked the question, "Why are you having children, when it appears you are having financial problems?".

Educated people see a possible financial crisis. They don't have a child. If they conceive, then they choose to get an abortion. Why? Ignore the philosophy and morality in abortion, and just take into account that people some people just can't take care of a child. They abort.

    EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE!

  17. Other than educate, I think poverty also comes into it. Women in poverty have more children for several reasons.

  18. More people need to start growing there own food if they have have the space! Grow your own!

  19. As RollingJoints has said in another thread we must swallow our own cum. So we don't inpregnate mmore women.

  20. We are not overpopulated...
