I vape medical marijuana on and off most of the day. I've been getting the disposable vape pens, the ones I get are $30 at my dispensary (WA, legal))). Recently I got worse and now need quite a bit more, and that $30 is really adding up. I read an article describing ways of saving a lot of $$ by refilling my own cartridges. I'm very new still to vaping and it's kinda like explaining to Great Grandma how to use her new cell phone. I won't get most of what you say about how to do it or how it works; but first I need to know if it will really save me $$. Anybody on here refill their own vape cartridges, and if so, how much do you save over buying the prefilled cart or the disposable vape pen?
Not much money to save really. The $ is in the oil. The carts themselves are dumb cheap. I know in my area you can buy a whole kit that comes with a battery and 3 carts. Than you can just get packs of single, or 3 carts as you go through them. They don't look to be re-fillable, and I did pull one apart to check what kind of wick it uses, and they don't appear to be rebuildable. Most of the time the wicks are pretty spent by the time the tank is empty anyways.
You can buy a battery and refillable carts pretty cheap. Find those online and then price a syringe of concentrate from a store. It might be cheaper to buy the stuff separate and refill your own using their concentrate. Another solution would be to buy empty carts and make your own oil. That really isn’t economical though unless you are growing and have access to a large amount of bud and/or trim. Dispensaries and producers have access to so much material for next to nothing that they can make it much cheaper. At least that is the way it is here in Colorado.
The syringes arnt much cheaper from what I saw! Its hard to make too for ur average person. Wax is a way to go. If u could make that, they sell wax drops to make ur liquid. A person can get the tubes and bho to make wax than buy the drops to make the liquid. Or u could just go to wax period or rosin. Sent from my SM-N960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
