  2. take dancing lessons

  3. get drunk

  4. Read, write, go outside. Develop interests besides smoking. Make music, learn an instrument, go run, go hiking.

  5. I wouldn't drink till your first week or two in and you get less tempted.
I mean I've been off smoking for about 2 weeks now and I"m taking shots now and man do I ever want to smoke.

  6. I have to agree, when you're feeling the urge to get in an altered state of mind this is a good alternative. But that's not the best option for all the time because who isn't always in the mood for an altered state of mind? I find that I just needed to occupy all my time by hanging out with friends. if your friends smoke alot like mine just make a big deal of your break so you won't be as tempted to smoke with them, and if you have really good friends like mine they won't let you smoke.

also, focus on the shit you need to get done in life. As strange as it sounds, concentrating harder on school got me through the 3 month t-break I am on the tail end of because it gives you something to think about. It's also a good time to compensate for when you are smoking weed.

Finding other hobbies is also a good way to pass the time. For instance, I started excersizing more and doing more projects around the house

  7. Develop an addiction to cigarettes.

  8. Disagree. Substitution is not good, and has lead people down the path of having alcohol more regularly. I don't see this as a good thing.
If you're having a break, just have a break - it's honestly interesting when you notice how clear headed you are after a little while.

I say do things that physically exhaust you a bit.
Get some games you haven't played before and hammer through them.
Sleep more, gets you through the hours while the "break" continues.
