    So, here's my Bonzai thread!

I got these 2 waxleaf ligustrums last fall. These plants are easily bonzaied....this plant is also called Japanese Privett. I will be working on these all season (til oct)........

(here's some stats - Waxleaf Privet (Ligustrum japonicum 'Texanum') - Monrovia - Waxleaf Privet (Ligustrum japonicum 'Texanum'))

Now it's spring of this yr and after food, rain and some warmer weather, there's been enough growth to start my first cuttings. Here they are!! What I've done is trim at the base of the plant to make it more tree-like and then thinned it to a traditional bonzai shape. I'm looking forward to my final results already!! d

Thanks for looking! This is going to be fun!!
