Pick up the container after a solid watering and take notice of the weight, when it feels considerably lighter water her again. Just pick up the bag every few days and you'll notice it. When I was using 5gal buckets with plants in the 3-4 ft range I watered 3-4 times a week to as little as once a week. The plant will tell you just be observant. These Lil girls are pretty resilient so even if you let her dry out and wilt one good water should perk her right back up.
I water my 7 gals about every 4 days or so. You can do the lift method but i just keep a schedule. I grow trees. Trees Number Three's
