no more then if u put a staw into your solution and blew bubbles into it just before watering your plants... but yes oxygenated water will promote faster and better root development under the right sircumstances..roots need air to breath or they will rot..HOWEVER ...pumping air into your watering solution is an extra step you don't need if you have a good grow medium that allows air to reach the root system.. also most water already has tons of oxygen in it..especially tap water. additional airation is not required unless your water is a week old or more AND you have bad soil that does not allow for the proper amout of oxygen to reach the roots
thanks man! just trying to maximize yeild ya know. i have a good mix of soild drains fantastic and lets a good amount of air to get ti the root. also is river rock ok in the bottum of my pots or should i use lava rocks.i know lava rocks will drain better but river rocks are freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
i would not use em, too much risk of foreign bacteria/spores/virus, its a good way to infect ur plants with something and kill em... i suppose they could be used if sterilized VERY WELL..washing each one by hand with chlorinated water and a brush..but that would be a hell of alot more trouble.. but even after
no prob a little work is ok for me man.thats what i did, i washed them and then boild them for 30 min.
aerated water/feed is a good idea. i use a sterlite container as a rez and i have a fish tank aerator to add air and keep nutes mixed.
sorry i didnt give enough detail. if i run air through water for 24 hr. then water my plants that are in soil will this help root structure?
It can't hurt. Might be anice little experiment for you. Feed one plant with normal water, and one with oxygenated water. I would love to see the results. In fact, I may try it on my own.
well i read that will help put oxy. to the roots so i thought i would try it. just thought i would ask this amazing site first to get more advanced growers opinions, ya know mean. i have had the pump in the water for about 16 hrs know and i will take your advice and do a little experiment. i will update.
