watering during budding

  1. how much water should a budding plant get. its only 2 ft. o yeah and what the hell does topping of your plant mean??

  2. Depends on your pot size, light power/distance away, and soil type. Thats not something we can tell you. Finger method works well.

It means cutting off the top of the plant to focus growth on new shutes down below to even your canopy. You can easily find out the definition of this word, or other words by reading this forum and using the search function before asking questions. You will get quicker answers and you wont frustrate people if you do the research first.

    Good luck, and read up.

  3. If your not sure how much water to give the plant then pick the pot up, is it heavy? If so then NO WATER.

You could fill a pot the same size up with the same soil and see how heavy it is. Compare this to the one with the plant in.

    Or

If the top inch or so is dry then give it some water.

Topping has been covered in previous post.

  4. 2ft, lets say 3 gallon pot. I'd say between 16-18 OZ of water every couple days. Finger method works best, but as said before depends on soil type/perilite or not, light etc.

  5. Why not give it a little water every morning and nighttime..... ???? this is what i do, leaving a plant for 2-3 days without water is a very haphazard way to judge if it needs water or not.
