Hi, Im a first time grower and I had been reading for some time now. Im going to start my first grow in the second week of october, but before that I have some questions. I bougth a waterfarm 8 pack with the recirculation kit, and I have a few questions, for starters, how much nutrients do you put in the 8 pack waterfarm system. do you put for the whole 13 gals or just for the 8 gals? or for both of them? I will be using advanced nutrients, and I looked at their feeding chart and just states quantities per week, but I have a doubt here, I should put all the mix of the nutes together the same day at the start of the week? or is there a way to administrate the feeding of those nutrients? and my last question, I will be using a 1000w ballast and bulb, plus a chiller, the waterfarm, the fans, etc, do I need a special electric set up? thanks
the first half has been answered via PM... the second half... do you need a special electric setup? you'll have to figure out how much is piggybacked on the breaker you plan to put your grow space in so first figure out what breaker your using... then turn it off... and see what appliances are no longer working... figure out the wattage/ or amps(this might be harder) your using on that single breaker... if you total load is over 80% of the breakers capability you need to reduce the amount of wattage/amps on that breaker... its pretty simple... but I don't think your going to need a sub panel if your house is less than 30 years old... but better to be safe than sorry
Thanks for the post, I will do that, and I aggree with you, I dont think I need a subpanel, anyway I will check everything before, just in case.
The 1000w lamp is 9 amps, the chiller depending on size 3 to 7 amps, the blower 1.5 amp The hydrofarm, I think are a 1/4 amp... IMO, if you can get the lamp on one 15 amp breaker and everything else on another, you'll be fine... But on the other hand, everything on a 20 amp breaker would also be fine and right about your 80% limit... It's just you do not see 20 amp outlets in houses, unless in the garage or utility rooms...
