WaterFarm 4 Pack?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by WishBone, Jan 28, 2010.

  1. Hello y'all, I'm just firing up my hydro farm and will be using 4 WF complete systems in a stealth environment sized 4'x4'x7'. I wonder if I could (simply) connect the 4 tanks to equalize them making it easier to keep everything balanced, or should I keep them separate? I will be using a single larger air pump for all four systems, and I plan to add an airstone to reach bucket as well. I welcome any and all suggestions, as I am still very early in the project.

  2. You aren't going to use a res? I would connect them either way for ease and balance but I would try and consider how to get a reservoir into the mix, makes your life soooo easy.

  3. OK, I'll see that 4 pack and raise you an 8 pack. I took the leap and placed the order for the 8 pack. Four bubblers will fit in my stealth box, the res will go outside. I also ordered the circulation upgrade kit. Getting started is pricier than I expected, but ain't everything?

  4. Hi WishBone...

Check out the link in my signature for some easy modifications you can do with the WaterFarms.

I have had excellant success with the WaterFarms.

    Good Luck!

  5. I used them before, made my own reservoir with a 5 gallon bucket, a Rubbermaid crate that held 20 gallons and a float valve, cost about 30 bucks total.

If you feel creative, buy the loop drip system solo, and use 3 gallon grow bucket, a 5 gallon water bucket, and parts from any hydro store for 1/2inch parts and hoses...:smoking:

for small pots, I've made bubble-drippers using an inch of 1/2inch hose, an air hose, along with a long straw from Quick-Trip sodas and a dab of silicone sealed half way into the 1/2inch piece, drop a bendy straw into the red straw and you got a directional dripper :D

  6. The 8 pack is the single best investment you will ever make. I don't know what you use for nutes but we have had tremendous success (over 50g sq/ft, diesel pushing 70) with the following formula:

We use GH nutes and follow the keep it simple recirc method for the micros, grow and bloom amounts. To that we add 5ml/gallon of hygrozyme. We add koolbloom per the same recipe only 4 of the last 5 weeks (nothing but water mix for final week). If your ppm is > 1200 feed water with Hygrozyme (always add hygrozyme), if it is < 1000 feed nutes, in between the two base it off whichever you didn't do last time.

Good luck, happy growing and FIM every branch.

  7. I'm starting to receive my stuff now. The 8 pack came in, and it now includes the recirc upgrade! Who knew? I got a recirc upgrade kit too, so now I have spare parts. I do plan to replace the blue tubing with black, and find another use for the blue. I using all GH nutes and supps. I plan on a startup run using GH plan and then another run later with better DNA if successful. I might slide into Lucas nute plan later. I will look over the mods to the farm too, thanks for the support guys.

I have a lot of setup work to do first, and get caught up on my winter chores before spring hits here.

A question on lighting - Can I go 18/6 in grow stage? Killing the 600w MH for 6 hours would save a lot of heat in the afternoon... Follow up - When I go into bloom mode, can 12/12 be light on at night? It gets hot here in the summertime...

  8. Absolutely on both counts. I run my 12/12 from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am to help keep the room warm in the winter.

    Good Luck!
