"waterboarding is not torture"

  1. very interesting, and very fucked up..

  2. the definition of torture becomes more obscure as the definition of prisoner and terrorist broadens.

  3. It's a sad day in our history when we have to debate this topic.

  4. I think they should only be able to torture terrorists such as al-queda. If they have a terrorist detained I think they should use any and all means to extract information from the terrorist, including torture. But only real terrorists though, not suspected terrorists or any American citizen.

  5. If you're gonna torture anyone, this is probably the best way to do it.

    Perfectly acceptable in my eyes.

  6. And we're enforcing this how?

    Internal review?

Ever hear of a man name 'Maher Arar'?

Keep in mind, most of the insurgents that are fighting in Iraq are not Al-Qaeda

  7. In my opinion I think torture is completely inhumane and wrong... But in some circumstances such as using it to extract information from terrorists I think it can be justified to help save the lives of others due to acts of terrorism. What some people go through as a result of terrorism is what I would say is mental torture.

  8. They don't call it torture anymore, they call it pressure.

  9. this is why i hate the government. they are using loopholes and just plain ignoring ther geneva convention to obtain the knowledge they want. they say we arte fighting terrorism, but if we are using tactics like this, we are no different than the terrorists we fight.

  10. Yeah but terrorism isnt the calculated and determined efforts of the land of the free, home of the brave.

    And great post, racoonsuit
