Hey everybody! So I'm a little confused on water. I know somethings but just want a bit more clarification. So I'm planning on using filtered water from my refrigerator (like the door). Should I be worried about adding Cal mag or anything of that nature. I'll be PHing the water accordingly but idk if the filter in my fridge will take Cal/mag away from the water or anything really. I just don't want to destroy my babies or deprive them from nutrients.... Or overload them. Any info is appreciated. Thanks everyone! Hi mate, I would just use tap water and let it sit out for 24 hours before use. You then shouldn't have to worry about calcium/mag etc for the first 5 weeks at least.

No it will be fine mate When you let it sit out, it evaporates all the chorine etc. But it keeps all your micro nutrients like calcium/iron/magnesium etc.... I would not use filtered water (especially in soil) as you would need to supplement it from day 1. Best make your life easy and let it sit out (mine is in a 4 litre plastic milk bottle - (anything is ok as long as air gets to it) This way your plant will get all it needs and you may never need cal-mag etc. Are you growing Autos or Photos mate?
You only need to let it sit out if your city uses chlorine for purification - 1/2 the country has converted to chloramine for water purification. Good luck and welcome to GC.
Yeah I just feed mine straight from the tap. Don't even let it warm up or hee haw. Doesn't make a difference. I'm in Scotland though, soft water at 48 ppm. Sent from my SM-G850F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
No worries bro, any time. Ok cool, as photos obviously take longer than Autos, you "could" buy some cal-mag / Epsom salts, just incase at a later date they need a little extra supplements (just in case) Good luck bro.
