I've just picked myself up an ec meter & i'm just wondering when testing ec on nutes do you include the ec of the water in that, or do you calculate the ec of the nutes as if the water was 0 ec... what would be a good starting point of ec / ppm to build up from...?? ( i have lowryder#2, sweet seeds autoflowers, dna sourcream & Riserve parada cole train all just popped up) also what would you guys recommend as incriments to increase the ppm? any help appreciated..!!!!! Thanx GC you've helped me so much in the past, i feel like i should lash you guys all a sesh LOL
Here's a sticky from the advanced growing forum that answers the question in detail: http://forum.grasscity.com/advanced-growing-techniques/330991-fertilizing-wisely.html The short answer is, you should take your water EC into account, and adjust your recipe accordingly. But then, everyone says fert until you see fert burn, then pull it back for max budding momentum, so it's really up to you.
