My plants are in 5 gallon grow bags. They are a month old and I've been watering with 13-16 ounces of water every other day. They seem to be doing fine, but i'm wondering if the water is going deep enough to penetrate all the roots. Should I continue watering like this, or shall I start watering a lot, where the water starts to come out of the drain holes?
i do believe a good rule of thumb (green thumb, that is) is to water well, but only when they need it. and i know most will water until some comes out the bottom. then your sure that the bottom most roots got wet. it's better to underwater than overwater.
