Can anybody else say badass, I really hope this movie becomes a hit, maby Swamp Thing will become a movie after this, and the famous pschodellic part of that comic can come to life in a movie. Any body who is a fan of Alan Moore should know what i'm talking about.
The only reason I think he is poorly casted is that he is a bit too young. Other than that, he is a great actor. I've always thought Paul Bettany would make a good Ozymandias. But this trailer is just great. Very promising. I just hope that it doesn't utilize that slow mode speed up style that 300 had.
Maby it's not just him but the way he looks in the black suit, the idea to Ozymandias was the he wasn't the normal supervillian, he was more of an hero with a god complex, he thought he thought he was the second coming of alexander the great. Giving him a black suit and getting casted by an actor like Matt makes him seem more like the classic villian, which he is not he is a utopian thinker that thinks the world is fucked at the rate it is going in society. In his eyes he was a hero, do all good and cleaning up the wrong in the world, not a villian, and anti-hero. Matt comes off as a villian to me, but I could be wrong.
And you came to all these conclusions from pretty much just a still of him in a trailer? You already know that they are not going to portray him like they did in the book... just because his costume is different?
I always liked the watchmen, it's one of my favorite books in general, and the way the he looked in the trailer he gave me a bad vibe. From what I here, he is a huge fan of the series, and actually put in a video of him acting out his with his personal friends. He even took a pay cut because the movie got over budget so thats always a plus, it's probly stupid of me to think he would be bad.

This movie is gonna be the shit, I hate that they have to show these badass trailers so far from the actual movie release, gives me time to read the book I guess. I knew what the watchmen was but had no idea about anything in the book, I saw the trailer and thought "badass" then went home and did some research on the characters and the story, watched the trailer again and though "holy fucking christ, I can't wait for this movie!"
