was walking through Lowe's

  1. I happened to look at the gardening section, and the nutrients are what caught my attention. I was wondering what the hell I would be buying come 3 months from now. Does anyone have any suggestions on a specific brand to buy? There were so many, I feel I would be lost if I went in there and tried to just pick one off the top of my head, Thanks

  2. all that lowe's will have is mostly chemical crap. check out organic ferts at a horti/hydro shop. i recommend either foxfarms or sunleave's "international house of guano" line of poop fert. if you do chose to go chemical, make sure to dilute the nutes alot. like 1/6 strength or even weaker until the plants get used to it.

  3. Man Lowes blows ass in general. I wouldnt trust any nutrients from there. Just go with foxfarm.

  4. Not sure if Lowes has it, but saw it at Home Depot, Schultz 10-15-10 Plant Food. DierWolf recomends it (every watering) veg and flower, and also during flower Schultz Bloom Plus 10-54-10 once a week. I believe he said Walgreens carries Schultz.
    Good Luck.

  5. yea shultz 10-15-10 works good, just make sure you do 1/4th dose to start, and slowly increase.

  6. Peters is another decent brand for everyday chemical nutes.

  7. I was just at Lowes yesterday and they had an organic soil, fertilizer and pesticide section (small). It's not with the other gardening supplies. I couldn't believe it but MG makes an organic fert now (I still would only use it as a last resort) and they had a nice line of Safer brand insecticidal soaps. Can't recall who made the soil (stoner).

  8. thanks for the help guys. Appreciate it. I think I will just find FoxFarm like everyone says, but just out of curiosity, if u dilute the chemical ones from Lowe's and then flush like the last 3 weeks before harvesting, would it be close to the same as using organic? And I have MiracleGrow 10-18-10 sitting in the garage, would it be worth trying that out in the future?

  9. No thats not organic. If you want to support environmentally conscious commerce then use certified organic products only. Diluting harmful chemicals is less poluting but still poluting.
