Was "forced to resign at work today"...

    I have been a lifeguard for my town for 5 summers including this one. Today I was called by my superior to come to lifeguard headquarters immediately. I arrived to find two of my superiors and their superior accusing me of coming to the pool, on my day off mind you, and smoking outside the gate with two of my friends who were on the clock. aside from being a false accusation, these events allegedly occurred on this past sunday. The person who accused us was in charge of the pool that day, and claims he heard my friend say, "o don't worry, we didn't smoke that much". They have no other real evidence against us, just his word against ours. I am having a meeting with the two highest aquatics people hopefully sunday or monday, and was just asking if anyone knew any legal arguments I could bring up. I do smoke quite reguraly (at least once a day) but I would never smoke at work, even if I was off.

    please, any advice will be accepted.

    Don't consent to a drug test. Just tell them that it did not happen, and that you have nothing to do with what was observed by your superiors. Clearly there was a misunderstanding.

    Be prepared to fake the drug test (detox, use a friends piss, etc) and then tell them it wasnt you, which technically is the truth, which in theory should mean you should be alright... in theory...

    i remember smoking out the lifeguard at our pool all the time. sometime he would close the pool just to smoke...he was a pretty cool lifeguard

    deny that shit as hard as you can.

    then if they want to take a drug test,
    throw out that you have worked there for 5 years and some guy says something bad about you have to piss in a cup...

    if they say too bad, then fucking quit and say you wasted 5 summers of your life providing them with quality service.

    they could possibly change their minds and let you stay at work with no drug test.
