I think you read that word well. I see it as finding Jacobs ladder and starting to climb, you used rising.
 
It also means becoming God but it is better said that one recognizes that they will eventually be completely a part of the Godhead and in that sense, we are truly Gods.
 
For now, I am a God WIP. Work I progress. I just know where I will end.
 
The ancients knew this and perhaps that is part of why they used the Father imagery.
 
Are you a parent? If so, chances are good that you want your children to meet and best whatever you are. All parents should want that and God the Father, even though shown in scriptures as genocidal and a son murderer,---  would want his earthly children to meet and beat whatever he is.
 
If not then he is less of a parent than we are and he does not deserve his title.
