Well, here we go again:- My second attempt at growing feminised THC Bomb in coco. First grow, 3 plants, produced 3oz, 2oz and ~4oz respectively in under 3 months. Not bad, but the idea is to improve on that, of course. This is a single-plant grow for now. Since I can only flower 2 plants, I'll start another as soon as this one goes into the flowering cabinet. Setup:- Strain: Feminised THC Bomb from Weed Seeds - Buy Marijuana Seeds Online from Weed Seeds Medium: 75% Canna Coco, 25% perlite. Nutes and additives: Canna A + B, Cash Crop 'Rootz', Cannazyme, Cash Crop 'Bud Boost', General Organics CaMg+ and, for the gnats, 'Gnat Off'. Veg Cab: 8 x 23W CFLs, (184 Watts total), in a 4 foot wide x two foot deep x 5 foot tall cabinet. Flower Cab: 400W HPS in a similar cabinet, with two PC fans at the top for exhaust, one 6" fan blowing into the air inlet at the bottom, then one 6" fan inside the cabinet blowing a breeze on the plants. Last time, I only vegged my best plant, (pic in my avatar), for 13 days, resulting in a (too) short plant and a lot of wasted vertical space. This time, I'll veg for much longer, until I feel that the plant will just fill the cabinet when mature. (Fingers crossed.) I'd love to see just how much I can get from one plant in this setup. I soaked the seed in a cup of warm distilled water for 4 hours, then into moist paper towel in a clip-lock bag, folded into a newspaper to exclude light, then placed on top of my STB for warmth. Germed in about 24 hours, then I put it into a 2.4 litre pot after pre-charging the coco with a weak nute mix at 0.9EC. She's now 7 days old, doing fine so far:-
Hey, bro! Looking good!!! Appreciate you typing out your method man, in such detail too. I'll have to grab the site off you or shop where you buy your nutes . My grow closet has 2 compartments, 2/3 the length is one compartment, then the other compartment is 1/3 the length, which is where I'm going to start my grow. So your grow journals are quite relevent to me!!! Appreciate it. And good luck!!! I'll be watching >.>... <.<!!!!!
Thanks, mate. I PM'd you with supplier details and more. Discount Hydroponic Supplies on eBay and Nowra Hydroponics, for those interested.
Love how efficient you are! It took 4 days for my seeds roots to be long enough for planting been in soil 24 hrs now so in next 48 hoping they will pop up!
^ I appreciate the comments. You know, you don't need to wait for any real roots before placing the seed in the medium. I plant it, about 1/4" deep, as soon as the root begins to poke out of the seed shell. With a little warmth, they sprout very quickly.
I will remember that for next years grow Have to grow outdoors as parents don't agree with me and my weed Lol. And I didn't wait for real roots just the tap root did them all at same time but for some reason 2 were 1 inch tap root and 1 was half inch Lol And they were kept just over room temp in my drawer near my laptop charger in an air tight plastic box with 3 socks over for extra darkness, I will use your method in future though.
Hello, miscbrah. Hope I don't fuck up, since there's only one plant. Nothing to fall back on. All being well, this should be a nice one.
Considering how well you did with your last grow with just "one plant", I don't doubt you'll yield an amazing amount as you did previously. Keep that good energy flowing, bro, all about good energy . As that weird dude on Happy Gilmore says - "Harnace the good energy, block out the bad. Harnace, good. Block, bad!" Very excited for you !!!
I'm along for the ride. Your last grow journal was sweet, you produced some serious bud in under 3 months. I like it!
Howdy guys. So far, all is well and this girl is raging. She's 12 days old and growing her fourth pair of leaves. Like last time, very close inter-nodal distance. The plan, as usual, is to top at 6 pairs of branches and bend them out to the edge of the pot, then straight up. (After transplanting to a 14 litre, (12 inch dia), pot shortly.) Last time, I vegged for 13 days, this time I'm aiming for 6 weeks, as long as it doesn't get too big by then. Last time, I got 10 inch long heads, this time I want about 2 foot heads. (Just short of the light.) No complaints so far:-
Wild, isn't it? To be frank, I can't really take the credit - I just follow the Canna feeding schedule, to the letter. Works great for me. I'm using a couple of Cash Crop products this time, but if I don't get similar results to last grow, I'll go back to all Canna. The expensive bit was Canna Boost, at $62 for 250ml. Scary. In the end, though, that 250ml bottle lasted through the whole first grow - about 10oz. The Boost only cost $6 per oz. Well worth it.
Hello Wardrobe. You are off to a great start. I'm looking forward to giving Canna Coco nutes a try on a future grow. Need to use up my GH first. Lookin good man. Can't wait to see this plant progress. I learned a lot from your last journal. Keep it up. You rock bro. Cheers.
