Wanting to know some Info about Growin one plant

  1. I was wondering if it was possible to grow one plant that will be Low stress trained to be grown under 69 wats...

  2. its possible but ive heard the rule of thumb is 100wats per plant. Since your close your buds would prolly be light and or fluffy and just plain and simple low quality. I know people have done micro grows and gotten dank so it might just be keeping ur plant a very small size right up on dem lights. I recomend you look into micro grows , ive seen threads with plants inches tall with one dank bowl on it haha.
You could invest in some cfls which are cheap and work well in limited spaces as they have to be right on the buds and dont penetrate at all. Ive seen in person some top shelf grown with cfls so theres hope.

  3. yes without any doubt. there are a few techniques that will really help you yield. the main being ScrOG method

  4. Yea thanks im makin a new grow box wide enough for two plants or many cup sized plants (party cup grow) but i was wondering if any one had a all natural micro grow guide it would really be appreciated if anyone could provide that information

  5. It's possible but don't expect to harvest anything. You'd be better off sticking it by a window. Imagine if I fed you half a cup of rice a day for the rest of your life......think you'd be healthy? Just to keep it in perspective.

  6. Well im germinating 6 seeds (Bag Seeds) and puttin them all in party cups and hoping for atleast 3 Females and then Transplant into haf 2 liter soda Bottles then grow them and Scrog them around 2 Feet.. Like around how much will i yield from 3 2 Feet Females

  7. Off 89 watts you'd be lucky to harvest a joint after 4 months of daily work.

But if you spend like 300 dollars, you could harvest enough off one plant to not grow again for a year. I know it's a tough pill to swallow, but life's too short to dick around. You can spend the next few months learning the hard way, investing your heart and soul and time and money for utter disappointment, or you could skip learning the hard way, take it from us idiots who like you, thought it was that cheap and easy and wasted our time only to learn the hard way.

I'm extreme in my opinion only cuz I've watched a lot of people's faces turn to disappointment come harvest. If you're going to invest in anything at all, DO NOT SKIMP ON LIGHTS. If you fuck the rest of it up, your lights will save your ass. My two cents. Take it or leave it.

P.s. you're going to hear a lot of people saying cfls are fine and if you have a couple hundred watts you'll produce a sickly plant that all the cfls guys will congratulate you on, but there will be no density to those buds, just airy disappointments.

If you insist though, grab some 4 light fixtures from homedepot, two Rubbermaid tubs and some white paint and just do a growbox.

Alternatively, a 600w light will cost average 25-30 a month and can grow plants that each harvest a pound. It'll cost you about 2-400 to setup and will yield every 3 months.

Btw, every weed you ever smelt, smoked and liked, ever saw on tv magazines or anywhere for that matter from high times to rap music was grown under powerful lights, ie, the sun or something emulating it.

  8. your so wrong. light isn't everything. so many people get fixated on light and ignore all other requirements. I have seen some pathetic plants grown under 600w hps lamps and seen some awesome plants under cfls. I'm certainly not saying cfls are better but they certainly do work and don't get so hung up on light. there is a lot more to growing than throwing more light at the plants

  9. Sigh....

    Edit: you're a cfl guy....nvm.

  10. this is a photo of a micro grow that only uses 2x 20watt cfls. a bit more than a joint on that isn't there. the original poster is talking about using almost twice as much

this was grown under a single 125watt cfl. there were another 5 of those just like that. 6 plants under the one cfl. 2oz all together. don't tell me cfls don't work

  11. sigh... your one of those that doesn't understand the plants requirements and to increase yield you can only give them more light

they have other requirements you know

  12. Cfls do work, i dont think anyone is disputing that.. buy HID lighting is by far the best way to grow if you want a harvest worth a damn.

  13. clearly one person is disputing that lol, read above

  14. He did say you would get "sickly buds" and i totally agree. All CFL grows yield whispy airy buds. I dont like fluffy 15% thc buds. I prefer to use a combo of MH/HPS and LED as supplemental. The end result is 18-22% and dense sticky nugs.

I couldnt agree more with his statement though, life is too short to dick around, if you're going to do something, do it right. CFL is basically for kids growing in pc boxes in their parents houses.

  15. He's saying CFLs don't produce tight, compact buds.

All those buds your looking at there came out to mere O's, and where's the dried and cured pics? It was probably half that.

HPS setups an the like will set you up with dense, sticky weed.

I'm all for CFL's.... To thicken up my sprouts before they go out in the spring.

  16. just because you don't know how to grow great bud with cfls doesn't mean it can't be done. I have proven it shit loads of times. I grow with hps and cfls and I make great bud with both. if you struggle with cfls then stick to hps but don't come up and say it can't be done, your wrong, simple as that

I used to be like you bro, we all were once but we know better now. I never said light was the only requirement. If you comprehended what you read you wouldn't be trying to twist my words, sensationalize my post and make yourself right. Besides, I only offered an opinion.

It's the reason I don't get into arguments with people who haven't grown hid. It's like arguing with the guy driving a truck from 1970 and explaining that the newer diesel has more power.

If you can find where I said lights are all that matter, I'll give you a cookie.

I tried to take a picture of my grow under one hid but I couldn't fit it all in one pic, the plants were too big. But if you do some searching on the forums you'll find a few of my pics that might embarass you since you're comparing dicks.

Believe me, if I could buy you an hid I would and you'd never go back, especially when you realize it only costs a couple dollars more a month to produce 1000x what you're growing now.

  18. like I said I grow with both so have a direct comparison. you need to use different techniques. if you want some pointers I can teach you how to grow great bud with cfls no problems.

the weight I stated was the dried weight. why would I weigh up the bud before it was dry? lol. what would be the point in that.

I don't have any photos of dry bud. I took those photos to show people when talking about growing. there's no point in me photographing dried bud

  19. I also want to add: if cfls are all you have, more power to you. I'm not trying come off as a weed snob or diss your only means. Growing your own rocks and the first time I grew and smoked my own bud it was the best feeling ever.

Don't let others discourage you, but realize great lights and setup are a one time investment if you do it right and you'll never be low again. I accidently grew so much last year I gave it away. Not into selling and all that comes with it.

    Peace
