This story reminds me of when Evan Mecham, then the Republican Governor of Arizona, was being interviewed by "60 Minutes", the CBS news show, and he referred to black children as "Pick-a-ninnies". On national TV. Then said he didn't know anyone would be offended by such a term! He was impeached and removed from office, shortly thereafter. I think the subtext of the representative's comments speak louder than her words. Once again, Obama is a mixed race, hybrid-type. Strong and long lasting. Like Ali.
