  3. do what you got to do.

be strong willed and your use will go down drastically.

will some mind control, you will be able to smoke once a day or few time sa week.

no need to drop dead quit for ever (not gonna happen)

just dont smoke when u feel like it all the time

  4. then try this with me haha fuck its gonna kill me to do it but fuck i want to say at least once in my life i had a proper proper go and not just some half assed attempt to stop like i always do lol what have you got to loose?

  5. I smoked for 4 years pretty much every day... Really excessively at times where it honestly did not phase me that much... I have been on a break for 8 months and do not anticipate on returning to it any time soon.

Best with your trials and tribulations,
    -KillerKush-

  6. I've been smoking at least a few g's a day for the last 3 to 4 years and I can't stop, it's like brushing my teeth or making dinner for me.

  7. I was going through the sam situation....i smoked every day since i was 16...after 2 years of daily smoking i noticed extreme change in my behavior....now i smoke on weekends only...well sometimes a joint or two if someone invites me to smoke...don't quit :) just dont smoke that much...u will get used to smoking only on weekends just like you used to smoke everyday...it will take some time though....good luck ;)

  8. Omg what 420Johny said is so true. I just started working full time so I really dont got time to be smoking because of work. But when I do (on my days off) it feels so rewarding. Highly recommended. Its an awesome high. :)

  9. yeah man i get what you're going through. i know i'm not supposed to talk about this but it's not really going into depth.. i was an illegitimate medicine man or aka "the guy" for a while. and it's amazing because you have so much weed in front of you. i was smoking every day all day like it wasnothin. after a few months of this, i just realized how much i needed to change. do i remember being sober? do i remember enjoying being alive without the help of marijuana?

don't get me wrong here, i absolutely love my ganja. but i think one of the most cliche quotes, yet the most powerful, is "everything in moderation". you know? so i stopped dealing, i stopped smoking everyday. i changed myself completely from a cartoon character to a real person. changed myself to me. marijuana will always be a part of me because the truth is it has helped me out so much in my life. but, when it starts to become who you are that is when you need to change yourself. so listen man, you don't need to completely stop if you don't want to. i think you'll find life much more enjoyable knowing that you have something to look forward to on the weekends after some good work or just a very long few days.

so, good luck. i hope the best for you. just know that there's ways of maintaining that green part of you without making you feel green.

  10. I've also been thinking about quitting.

It's not that i can't have a good day without it, I simply just wish i didn't feel the need to get high.

It doesn't do anything for me, so I really have no reason to keep smokin. Just how I feel tho. Who fuckin knows tho maybe i wont quit for another year. Just a really cool social thing to take part in. Nothin like gettin high with some buddies.

what everyone else said.. you don't need to stop completely, unless you have such an addictive personality that one puff will set you off..

and try not going cold turkey, it makes quitting a lot harder. start smoking ONE snap/rip a day at night or in the evening.. do that for 3 or 4 days, then start skipping nights here and there for the next week, to every other night, then just do it on the weekends or once a week.. from there its pretty easy to say no to yourself..

its tough no doubt but all you need is some will power and something to do with your free time ... trust me it makes all the difference. even if you think about smoking while youre busy, it doesnt phase you much if you're working or at school, writing something, whatever.. be constructive, join an interest group, get a job, help around the house even.. etc.. take up a hobby.

Edit: also, surrounding yourself with people who don't smoke helps quite a lot too. and if you are going to smoke, pick up small sacs for that night only. ive noticed when you have the weed in front of you (like galacticbud said with dealing), you will smoke more.. like buying an eighth over a dub.. the eighth will last me like 2 days longer than a dub even though its 3 times the amount.. so get a ten sac and split it with some buddies for the night when you do smoke.

  12. I stopped for three years - and never smoked a thing during that time - you will also have to look at your life style and possibly change who you mix with etc.

Anyway I wish you all the luck in the world :D

  13. haha THIS WONT HELP DUDE haha but ur righ tit will kill me and there is nothing like gettin high the the lads, im just going to have to try and go back to drinking beers with the lads like old times (then again ill have hangovers, feel sick, feel bloated haha id rather have a big fat spliff any day over a beer haha)

  14. Cold turkey is the way to go. I smoked for close to two years straight and I'm on day 23 of my t-break and its going great. I stopped for two reasons, one being i was a waste of life and two i possibly have a tumor in my throat. And you save mad cash so you can buy like an o when you start smoking again. But don't just smoke less, take a nice long break and see if you even want to smoke again then ease back into it.

  15. i need to stop soon for several months.

i just wanna forget about it, where its noteven on my mind. like, do i wanna be high right now, hellll no.

    like that.. hopefully

  16. stop for awhile a few months and see how it goes, you may decide that want to start again but that you want to moderate your usage. Or you may decide you need to quit for good, it is up to you no one can tell you but you what you should do. Just don't allow yourself to be talked into doing something you know doesn't make sense if you know you need to stop then do it

  17. I think people react differently when you stop smoking.
It's like stop going out with your friends every saturday for drinks.. You'll feel like somethings missing. But it's just your body getting out from the fog...

..So my best advice is just to be strong minded and just tell yourself that your brain is adjusting to real life without that hat over your head.. And you'll probalby realise that you don't miss smoking so much, you miss having goals in your life. Cus I believe people that can't stop smoking often live quit dull lifes without any goals.

And I'm not saying that you have to be a successfull lawyer to be happy... It's the small things... Spending more time with your friends, family or getting involved in your community. Cus you just can't quit a habbit if you don't start another one.

We are humans and our brains are to powerfull to just sit back and stroll through life, you need goals.

So if you've smoked a long time you often get a lot of thoughts and you might get overwhelmed by them. But if you can listen to your brain, you'll find out that it only wants you to have a more fullfilling life. That's why you should always have goals with your life if you smoke a lot. Always always!!!!!

That's why I can quit smoking for a year without bothering about it cus I need to study harder and when the summer comes i blast away and just relax!

  18. i sorta know how ya feel. I just been cutting back instead of stopping, it feels great actually.

Instead of being baked all day I keep myself to just a hit or two in the morning.

Its not that bad though, because at the end of the day I look at my stash and theres like twice as much as there normally would be. So i say "sweeet!" and roll a fat joint.

Im honestly starting to think THIS is the way to get high, fuck that staying high all day shit. (though it IS nice)

  19. Damn! My life would be rough if weed had this kind of a hold on me.

This sounds like how I feel with different controlled substances.

  20. to kindof take a different spin off of nb's post, cold turkey can actually be a wonderful thing, if you have the willpower to manage it. Ive been smoking regularly for about 4 years now, but included in that regular smoking is breaks. Im sure alot of you understand me? Don't get me wrong, i love to smoke, theres nothing like sparking up with the buds on a boring week night, but also, as fellow smokers, you understand that sometimes its just time for a break, a reorganization, and eventually a return. Ive quite before, from a week to 4-5 months, but in the end i always return.
Sorry, now back to the cold turkey. There exists what a lot of smokers call the "3 day hump". The first three days suck ass, thats why it takes such a strong willpower to do this. Your going to be grumpy, irritable, and restless, but this is just because of the "transition" as i have labeled it, or the move from being stoned to sobriety. It's a physiological adjustment so you can expect some side effects. It impossible to get through?? NO! Find something to occupy your time and it will be a breeze, and once your through the 3 days its easier. Yes you think about smoking, but you really no longer feel the compelling urge to go toke up.

Oh, and who the hell sells a 10 sack? Im pretty sure id get my ass laughed back into my car haha.

I encourage you to take a break if you feel you need one, but although you say now your done, id love to hear what you had to say on the subject in say 6 months time (of sobriety).
    Best of luck my man.
