Want to save a life?

  1. This little guy is in race to find a blood donor or cord blood match to treat his leukemia. He's only 4 years old and having to fight for his life. Because he's of Asian/European descent, doctors are having a hard time finding a match. My husband was actually a preliminary match for a patient previously. Contrary to popular belief, bone marrow donation is not THAT bad. Many donations are actually made through a blood donation instead of through surgery. Anyone could be the match, though. Please consider joining the registry.

  2. Shit, my grandpa was Filipino and I also have some Belgian, German & Dutch roots from my moms side as well.

  3. It is pretty awful. I can't imagine being in his parent's shoes. If I qualified, I would be on the registry.

  4. I don't think I meet some of the medical requirements though :( FML.

  5. Well, if nothing else, those of us that can't donate can spread the word. :)

  6. Awww, he's such a cutieee :(

  7. Giving this a bump to share with the day crowd.
