I made one out of a coconut, it is awesome!

 

This is the method I've found to be the best: (warning, pictures)


You will need: socket, straw, pen shaft, gum, and a bottle


Step 1: Cut about a 1.5 inch slit in the straw. It doesn't have to be exact.


Insert the straw into the pen shaft to where it is reasonably tight.


Step 3: Make a cut about 3/4 of an inch above the end of the slit.


Step 4: Push the straw into the more square end of the socket. I have found that straws from Chick-fil-a are the perfect size for this. I'm sure you can get them elsewhere but I don't eat fast food generally.


Step 5: Use gum to seal it up.


Step 6: Make a cut in the bottle and insert the pen shaft. Making two vertical slits and then a horizontal connecting them in the shape of an "H" then pushing the shaft in is the best method.


Tip: If you're using a bottle with indentions like these in the bottom, you can line up your cut for the shaft with one and the use the indention to keep the stem in place, otherwise use some tape.


Step 7: Make a good seal around the entrance point with the gum. (tape stabilization also pictured)


Finishing up: Put it all together and you're ready to smoke. Some type of screen is recommended for the bowl through. It works like a legitimate glass bong. Simply pull the bowl assembly off when you're ready to clear the hit. The mechanism is surprisingly airtight and still comes off easily. Straws can be changed out as they get dirty.

I'm kinda new to this whole thing but just the other day I made one out of a lava lamp. I had to empty that shit out and wash like 100 times. After I FINALLY drilled through it with my diamond bit though, i realized how fuckin sweet this was gunna be. So i invited my friend over and we put it back on the original base. With the light under it, it looked so damn cool.

 

Stay away from foil man. Use a socket as a bowl.
