walmart sells a 42watt CFL that gives off 2700 lumens, would this be enough for one plant during veg. stage?
Ah hah. I use two of those in flowering, but for veg get 2 daylight bulbs, more if you can. Here they have ones that come in a blue package labeled Sunlight Bulb. 2 30w would take care of one decently, but the more light the better. Then for flowering use those 42w soft whites. If you want to throw a soft white in during veg and a daylight in during flower to balance out the spectrum that's probly good too. I don't know for sure if it helps but it's just that much closer to natural light. But I do know those daylight bulbs work much better during veg than soft whites.
for one plant i ran 100W CFL's for veg and right now i'm at the end of week one of flowering and i have about 200W of CFL's....
