Wait... are those mushrooms?

  1. So I started one plant growing in a planter pot I had outside my house. I aerated the soil with a knife and planted the seed. However the soil was soaked (it had been raining) and I didnt dry out the soil. So first issue I had was noticing small brown bugs when I watered. I did about 2 hours of research trying to decide it they were fungus gnats or springtails and finally realized they were springtails. I saw that that could be a sign of overwatering, so I plan to water less. However today I go check on my plant and find a 1inch tall white mushroom growing about 4 inches form my plant. So obvious sign my soil is too moist and I am going to improve drainage, water less, and get a better light source. However my question is what do i do about this shroom? I know they are beneficial to soil because they decompose dead plant matter back to useable compounds, but will it infect/contaminate my plant/bud? Should I see it as lucky and leave it or see it as an unwanted guest and pluck it? Also I know shrooms are just the "fruit" of fungi which means pulling them doesnt deal with the fungi in the soil so do I need to worry about that? Please help
