So recently learned of these NGO (non-government organization) agencies that offer various humanitarian trips to 3rd world and developing countries. The one I'm trying to get in on entails teaching English in a Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal for a few weeks. I'd like to get some first hand accounts of people's experiences with Volunteer Abroad projects through these NGO's. That being said, does anyone have any sort of experience with this sort of thing? Any insight would be extremely helpful, thanks!
