  1. I see my ballast has a switch between 115 volts and 240 volts. Sorry for my ignorance, but whats up with that? Ive just kept it at 115.

Can be plugged into a 115 or 220 volt cct. Leave it at 115 unless you have a 220 outlet.220 outlets usually require a different type of plug, in North America at least.

  5. A voltage converter is a device designed to change the voltage level of an electrical power source, typically to match the requirements of specific electronic devices or appliances. It can either step up (increase) or step down (decrease) voltage as needed. Voltage converters are essential for ensuring that devices from different regions, which may have varying voltage standards, can operate safely and effectively. They are commonly used when traveling internationally to adapt to local voltage standards and are crucial for preventing damage to sensitive electronics.

    220 vs 110.
110 volts max watts 1500. burst . or 1000 watts 24/7 My opinion in 24 7 run .Depends if you have 14 gage wire to the outlet if 14 gage 1500 is fine and is 1800 watts burst watts .
    Or 220 3000 24/7
Just keep each outlet under 1000 watts each sleep well .
220 volts max watts 3000 burst or 2000 watts 24/7
So one power line you can run double the equipment.
usa most homes have 14 gage
My home stereo used two 12 gage outlets with two different runs to all different breakers
Tube amps murder the e bill
