Visiting America tomorrow! Cops?

    Hi guys, I'm going to visit New York, San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Los Angeles and San Diego the next two weeks startin tomorrow:hello:
    Although I've been to California twice I don't really know how risky it is to get caught by the police when buying off the streat. (especially as a tourist from Europe)

    I could just stop smoking for two weeks but I heard that the weed is quite good so I probably will try 1-2 joints of it if I find somebody who is selling.
    I'm really excited, because it's probably the last trip to the United States for a long time so I really don't want to waste my time there in jail:eek: I heard that when Police in New York catches you they can send you to prison for 24 hours, so I will probably avoid buying there anyway.

    But how likely is it to get busted by cops in San Francisco? I heard they patroll the area with bycyles trying to bust tourists.. but will they arrest me for <1 gram:confused:

    Thank you in advance for answering. I just don't want to end up in a cell or something and I have absolutely no experience with cops in the United States.. So will they just let me go understanding that I'm a tourist who just wants to try Weed from California or is it rather usual to spend a night in jail when caught?:confused_2:

    I don't know for tourists, but in California for an American citizen, if you are caught with less than an ounce of weed, they can't give you prison time. They give you a 100 USD fine. No record, no court, nothing.

    Just don't get caught selling it to anybody.

    You are correct about New York. My friends have been caught with less than a gram and got locked up overnight. Even here in Queens there are D.T.'s all over the place.

    Okay, thank you. It will definitaly be less then an ounce. My plan was to spend like 50-60$ on an eight, preconditioned that I can see it before giving the money.

    :eek: Thanks, I will definitaly not risk it then. Would be fucked up to spend 24 hours, out of the ~72 hours I have in this nice city, in jail :eek:

    No problem, man. Although, if it was me visiting anywhere in the U.S. I'd definitely try to get some, but that's just me. :smoke:

    Bought around 0,6-0,7g from a hippie in Height Ashburry for 10Dollar, quite good weed. Bought around an Eight from an afro american near the city hall in san francasciso and it was probably the best weed i ever smoked:D I paid 45 and it was better then anything I bought from coffeeshops..one small hit from my pipe got me blasted.. two and i felt like in another dimension (and I'm an everyday toker so that was quite awesome:smoke:)

    Great holiday overall although my backpack got stolen in Los Angeles with the remaining weed in it (~1g) two days before I left, they just got into our car and stole all the backpacks:D

    :smoke: If i found your backpacks unattended, I would've just put extra weed in there for ya:smoke:
