Ok folks, here we grow again. This will be my first grow with known strains. I purchased 5 femd Barneys Farm Violator Kush, and 5 femd Nirvana's Pure Power Plant from The Attitude. I got some nice freebies as well I popped these seeds 7 weeks ago. They have been under 18/6 for 2 weeks now. The VK seemed to be a very finicky strain at the beginning. I had some browning around the edges on the third leaf set, and then a little more after I put her under the MH. She has now settled down and is growing nice and healthy. The PPP seems to be a real trooper. She has been healthy since day 1. I will most likely veg these ladies for another 2 weeks to get the screen coverage that I want. Then we will change lights, and let the show begin.
Everything is going well here. I think I will start flowering these girls in a week or so. I almost have the screen coverage I am shooting for. Here are a few 16 day veg pics.
It has been a while since my last update, been busy. This is my 5th scrog and i have never had one get this out of hand on me. The pure power plant has completely taken over. It seems to have swallowed the violator kush. I will not be growing these strains together again. The PPP has gotten so big that i have raised my light to its highest point and the plant is still getting taller. I think i will have to bend them over and tie them down over the next couple days. These girls are in thier third week of flowering, and are looking really good. Its hard to believe that I still have at least 5 more weeks to go. Like I siad. this is the first time a grow has gotten out of control on me. Here are some pics. If any one has any suggestion or oppinions on what I have done wrong or need to do, please let me know.
Looks hella nice. I had some power plant for a while, but I bought them from a dispensary, and the damn grower had SPIDER MITES. Needless to say my whole grow got infested and I had to kill everything. Its nice to see what the PPP turns out like.
All of my previous grows have all been the same strain from a seed from a bag of some really good mid grade stuff. So I really didn't know what to expect from the PPP. It just keeps growing and growing. I have actually had to tie some of the shoots down just to pull them away from the lights lol and the bud sites are everywhere. This will for sure be a heavy yeilder. When I read up on the PPP and the Violater Kush, the descriptions led me to believe that these would grow the same. But the PPP has taken over and swallowed the VK. So i know now that I will not ever grow these 2 in a scrog together again. Thanks for stopping by bro. A little update here. 23 days into flowering and the PPP is doing really well. She is running at 1000ppm, the PH is at 5.6. 74* air temps. 68* res temps. I have had to bend and tie down the bigger shoots. They got into the light, and I cant raise it any more. Here are a few more pics.
I took some pics of the PPP this morning and thought that they were worthy of posting. She has been flowering for 26 days now, and she is starting to explode with buds. This thread will be on the PPP from now on. The Violater Kush has been swallowed by the PPP and isnt doing well. I am just going the let her do what she does.

looking great man. How do you like that 400? Would you want a 600 or do you think the light penetration is good enough for your grow?
The 400 works great. I get good penetration as long as I keep the big fan leaves tucked out of the way or thinned out. Like I said it does a good job, but like any man, I always want something bigger lol. When I do upgrade, it will be with a 1000W light. I will update with some more pics in a little while. So we have about 3 and a half weeks to go and things are looking great for the PPP. The VK hasnt been doing a whole lot. I noticed some bud rot on her from where she was being choked out by the PPP. The intake on that side of my box is near my shower. So i figured out it was a moisture problem. I had some rot on that side of the box on my last grow. i have pulled the VK up and I have fixed the intake so I hope the problem is fixed. I will know during the next grow. But as I said, the PPP is doing great. I cant wait to see how she turns out over the few weeks. Here are a few more pics I took this morning. Enjoy
I have a question, how long did it take for your VK to show signs of flowering. I have had my VK in flower for 12 days now, and I have yet to see any signs of changing. Other strains in the same flower room are looking normal. Is this normal for VK? You can check my Current Grow in my signature if you need a couple of pics.
Sup Tommy, long time Bro The VK took 21 days before I saw the first hair. I dont know what to think about the VK. I need to grow it by itself next time. The PPP that was in the same screen swallowed it whole. It really got choked out. I cant really judge it from this attempt. The PPP is doing awesome though
LOL, How are you? I am so happy you told me that about the VK. I was really freaking out. I am sorry and happy about the choking of the VK. Its really good to hear the PPP is thriving and just weird about the VK. That is what scares me most about doing scrog and different strains. The description of VK makes it all worth the wait. I just didnt realize how damn tall it grew. I want to chop 4-6 inches off of my plant, but am afraid it is going to stress it too much and affect flowering. Maybe I can try to bend it and pull it down, and if it breaks I wont feel so bad. By the way your grow is looking good.
