  1. I have used a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar spray on dirt when it molded. Is that considered organic?Does it affect a plant? Can it be sprayed on a plant?thanks,

i've read about using vinegar spray to help control mildew, but 50/50 sounds too strong.

I have a book in my lap titled "The Dirt Doctor's Guide to Organic Gardening" by J Howard Garrett. He recommends "3 tablespoons of natural apple cider vinegar in 1 gallon of water." (pg. 8) as a vinegar fungicide.
I read on to find on pg. 69 (teehee) that "Natural vinegar contains at least 50 trace minerals" and that "a tablespoon of vinegar per gallon of water added to the sprayer when foliar feeding..."
This book was printed in 1996...no doubt there have been many advances in the field of organic gardening so take this as you will.

so, again, find natural apple cider vinegar at trader joe's or something.
