Got this cool stealth scope and actually took a pic though it with my cell camera. Not great photo but fun.
just bought that same scope last weekend. handy little gadget i had that same thought of trying to take a pic through it but haven't tried yet. looks promising though. i have a hard time seeing though it. can't seem to hold still very well and the whole reverse thing messes with me too. "damn it where did it go, oh there it is ... Damn it gone again"
That scope, or one very much like it, can be found at Radio Shack. I believe it's about $12 these days, I paid about $8 for mine quite a few years ago. Don't try to look at the trichs on the plant itself, you'll never be able to hold it steady enough. Instead, snip a tiny sample (like 1/4 the size of a grain of rice) and put it on a piece of white paper, then take that out of the grow space (away from your red-spectrum flower lighting) and examine under regular light.
Got that right, down to the price. 60x-100x magnification. Definatly dont try this right on your plant. Take a sample like he said. Plain white paper also helps. I went everywhere looking ofr a toy scope and went into thi radio shack 2 mins from the house and found this. Very pleased with it. Also careful handling the sample. I could definatly see damages trichs after I had handled it allot.
If you really want to trip out on your trichs and have a little extra cash these 44302 Celestron Handheld Digital Microscopes will show your trichs on your computer screen. You can also save the pics. Up close and personal...........
Great idea! I can't hold steady enough Google radio shack microscope and read the reviews, some one wrote that "this is great for viewing trics" thats too funny
