Sorry this is my first post and its basically a wall of mis-spelled run on text but im very worried for my dog right now. anyways about 7 hours ago i was in the shower (not paying attention to dog, obviously) and when i got out i noticed that there was an ash tray filled with about 40-ish seeds and like maybe 3 bowls of ash were spilled everywhere and my 3 year old chihuahua (about 6-8lbs)had ate most of it. Now fast foward to now he started throwing up and stumbling around, but he still is pretty happy and playfull. I feel so absolutely gutted about leaving that just out and around for him to get into and now im concerned he may die or get really sick... Does anyone have any idea if he will be okay or should i be taking him to the emergency room or something? TLDR; small dog ate alot of seeds and some ash because i am a shit pet owner, does anyone have any idea if this is poison enough to kill him?
I think he'd just poop em out. Small dogs have pretty resilient stomachs, and seeds are typically harmless. He's probably throwing up because of the ash.
Seeds aren't psychoactive, so what he's probably throwing up are the ashes. I think he'll be fine, but then again I'm not a vet.
Your dog should be fine. Will either poop them out or throw them up. They shouldn't hurt it. Keep a cleaner place and you won't have this problem.
