Im trying to grow some hydroponic plants. They have been growing for a little more than a week. The growing medium i was using (sand) wasnt working well the reservoir. I decided to change it and i started using blue gravel; like the kind in fishtanks. The gravel didnt soak up water like the sand and over night they died. is it because they werent getting the water or the transplant. They were six inches tall
There's several different grow mediums you can use with the proper results. Fish tank gravel isn't going to hold moisture. Next time go with hydroton, rockwool, perlite, etc.
