Vermont is the first state to legalize marijuana through legislature

  1. Good news, good news!!! An ounce on hand and two in flower at home, with four in veg, is A-OK with me (21 and over, mind you). Now of course this is all to go into act on July 1, 2018 wink wink. Of course there ARE restrictions such as no sales, no driving under the influence, and still considered a controlled substance under soon to be eradicated Federal laws, but having it voted in under State Legislation its a State Law now that Cannabis is no longer prohibited. Even though we are behind on other states, its a much bigger leap forward to end Prohibition on a National scale with this Law being enacted by the State Government and signed off by the Governor. This will also put more of a damper on the harassment by the Feds, more so then the Voter Initiative Legal States, Regardless, let us raise up our preferred smoking implements and toke on this ;):passing-joint:

  2. It's a good ice breaker for other states wanting to do this.

There's no debate whether this legalization is bad or not. It just increased their freedom. It would be nice if they could grow a few more plants at least. But it's definitely better than nothing. Let's see their regulations they eventually come up with.

Hopefully the dominoes have started to fall and we'll see a push to end this BS war on weed at a Federal level soon. Do you think Minnesota and Illinois will get on the recreational train any time soon and spread to Iowa / the rest of the Midwest? Here's hoping Michigan will do the right thing in 2018 so that it spreads like wildfire.

  4. I think Illinois would before the other two. Here's to hoping it all ends soon though
