Hey there, Let me start by saying that I am not totally new to growing, but I figured this question would be best suited for the beginer forum. I have a 400 MH/HPS HID light which will be run in a large closet(9"Lx3"Wx9"H) which is 246 Ft3. I have also bought a 6 inch vortex fan that is rated for 360 CFM is that enough to vent the room properly with a carbon filter or do i need more fan? Thanks for your time.
Suggestions: Hang the fan from straps (less noise transmitted into the structure). Hook a speed control up to it so you can "dial it in" as you won't have to run at full throttle. I use a 6" Vortex just to cool the lamp, and a 4" for the room. Good luck with your grow.
alright thanks alot for your input guys, i might start a journal depending how they look once i set them up to flower under the hps but we shall see. thanks again
