Ventilation

  1. New grower here, I was wondering about ventilation. I have a 1000 cubic foot flower space and I’m looking at getting an exhaust fan. Do I need to get another fan as an intake fan, or will my floor vent suffice?

  2. Depends on how much pull your exhaust has. Do you know how many cfm it pulls?

  3. no intake fan required. if a intake fan is required then the exhaust fan is to small.
will say your space is 12/12 by 8 height . you did not say if these fans are also cooling the room.
you will require 2 of these if your trying to cool as well. 8 In. Portable Ventilator run ducts to it make put them high as possible . they will work perfect.
if you need tips how to connect these and how to ensure fresh clean air intake just ask

  4. 740 CFM

  5. My home thermostat is currently what I have cooling the room, I have oscillating fans as well. I just didn’t know if my exhaust fan runs at 740 CFM, if I needed an intake fan running at the same to forcefully replace the air.

  6. That's not bad. Bigger would be better, but that should work just fine.

  7. When I’m calculating my CFM, should I go for a complete air exchange every minute or every three minutes, because I’ve heard both.

  8. With no internal circulation, I would shoot for every minute. You said you are running circulating fans in there, so 3 would be fine as well.

740 in a 1000 is decent numbers. I wouldn't bother with an intake, just a breeze on the plants.

  10. no intake fan will be required if your exhaust fan is strong enough . and if you do not have many air leaks .
