I have a 6" inline duct fan but my 400hps is a box setup and not one that is "vent friendly". Should I run the duct close to the light to suck the heat up? Also, the other end that leads outside... should it go outside or is it better to connect it to the house vent/ac system? I've even seen someone connect it to their bathroom vent that leads outside. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
anywhere that is out or not in the room anymore is great. venting into the ac can cause your whole house to stink, so get a good filter....but, i am also stoned right now and cant remember if you where asking if you should run air out into the ac or bring air in from it..... either way will work but it might freeze your shit in the summer as the cab/sealed room will cool pretty quick
also either cut a hole in your hood and attach your fan directly to it. or mount your fan above the light as heat rises........Fuck man I'm sorry i'm just......I'm ripped hope that helped
i hate the idea of cutting into your light box... should be last resort... but if you can then sou should, then you could remote locate your fan and run the duct to the light. otherwise you could connect it to your house AC, and buy a HVAC 2-Zone Controller, put a thermostat in your grow room and then connect that to the HVAC control. Then install a Motorized Zone Control Duct Damper, between the air duct from the house to the grow room and connect that to the HVAC system. Thanks for the great ideas. Now you have me thinking. Have you guys ever taken a light box like this apart? I want to take it apart and convert it to a cool tube. Just thought I'd ask before attempting anything.
