Veg in Hydro, Bloom in soil?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by giannoulis, Apr 12, 2023.

  1. Has anybody tried that? Moving the rootball into soil?
    Results?

  2. yes, its shitty. The plant goes thru extreme stress and shock. Buddy was growing hydro and his mom made him ditch the plants so i had to adopt them

  3. if you do this transport earlier enough...it should be fine, I'd avoid sensitive strains autos too
as I've done much cloning, and prefer long very long roots to ensure a good settling
also I've done Kratky, like DWC, but easier ...lol they were fine so long as their was no pistol in sight

more info on your grow may well get the answer you seek?

    good luck

  4. Yes, the plant had root rot, it was going to die, my friend was going to chuck so I potted it up, cool soil mix, low light levels and kept it in the low 20's etc.
Less than a week later it pulled around so I could give it some food and more light etc, worked really well.
I gave the roots a really good wash and cut them back.
