Move to Colorado they have the goods on lock down like Cali, but recretional use just got legalized in Colorado, Colorado has a medical marijuana program just like California so does Washington, but if I were you I'd move to Colorado since you can use it without having anything wrong with you. plus if you get a mmj card/rec you can easily have access to decent priced top shelf/outdoor mid shelf bud. Not all outdoor is mid shelf, just like not all indoor is top shelf.

It varies depending on grower / supplier and if they dried and cured the meds properly. it is a herb after all. kind of like TEA leafs, different oxidation levels. same with weed, different curing times and different chop times grower either chopped bud too early and you end up with premature meds, chop late you end up with strong stoney meds and or decrease of THC since the THC infused trichomes break down through "oxidation" and maturity the longer the plant is still attatched to the roots. have to know when to chop the plant down.

aim for 60/40 or 50/50 (mix of amber / cloudy trichome crystal heads).

if the trichomes on the plant is all cloudy it's ready for a chop, but if you want your meds to have a strong body high / stoned feelings, chop when it has atleast 30 to 40 percent amber it will also have alot of cloudy trichomes.
that's good don't chop when it's CLEAR trichome head glands. because clear = not finished. cloudy = finished but should wait for atleast 25% to 40% of them to go from cloudy to amber. that way your medication is some strong as fuck bud.

also after you chop and dry and trim the flowers, throw them in a mason jar (canning jar) that you can seal tight, make sure to wash them before storing the meds in cause alot of them advise to wash the jars before usage. very simple use dish washing soap and water.

Now only if the federal government used GMO science to grow the finest medicinal herbal product they would rank in major profits and it would be widely available in various flavor profiles (fruity tasting, candy tasting, and or spicey tasting). yep someday!
